A Morning Walk Through Old Montréal, From Bonaventure to the River

A relaxed morning stroll through Old Montréal, from the Bonaventure train station down to the old port along the St. Lawrence River.

Stepping Off the Train Into a Perfect Day

This morning began with a train ride from Saint-Hilaire into Montréal, stepping off at the Bonaventure station. The moment I walked outside, I realised what a beautiful day it was.

The light was so inviting that I decided to walk far longer than usual, letting the streets of the old city set the pace instead of any fixed plan.

Down McGill Street to the Old Port

After about five minutes of walking, I made my way down McGill Street toward de la Commune, following the line of the river. The view was lovely, with the old port slowly appearing further ahead.

Good to know — if you are planning a lunch stop along the way, make sure to try the Mexican restaurant near the old port.
